Okay so a rundown of yesterday. We did Dinner , Ice-cream like dessert and movie.
Dinner not so fantastic. Maybe the phrase is mediocre. Fish that tasted.... old. Popcorn shrimp that were seriously spicy, Calamari that could have been elastic bands.... you get the picture.
DQ was great.... In all honesty you really have to try hard to kill a blizzard. LOL so that pat went well Love the bu one get one for 99cents! We got 4 smalls for under $11.
The Movie...? LOVED IT The Lorax was awesome. The story was a little of the book as most movies are but they kept true to the Dr. Seuss-ness of it all. The songs were cute and catchy. I could realy relate to how the Onceler felt about needing to succeed and how before he knew it he had ruined something pretty major. Betty White is epic in the role of Grammy Norma was amazing. Not another person could have pulled that off as well as she did. Except perhaps Phyllis Diller. This was one movie I could see over and over again. Seriously one of those movies i could watch and or liste to twice a day.
I could have done without the 3D-ness of it all but it was great especially the surround sound. I have not been to a theater in a long time so i was a pleasant treat. Not 30 minutes of commercials. And the trailers were age appropriate for the movie being shown. Something that did not happen last time a Kid and I went. Not even sure which kid I took it had been that long
I was a little annoyed at the parent who let their not quite 2 year old wander around the theater at will.
The ride home with tired overstimulated, sugared up kids is not something I will relate but within an hour of being home we were all in bed!
